I dreamed of you last night. I have been waiting for a dream like that. It seems as if when I stop thinking about it, you appear. My little man, you are a sneaky one.

It was the first time in my life I wished my dreams were my reality.

I dreamed of you last night.

You had your bright red hair and that adorable button nose. You kept smiling at me. I wanted to hear you, but it was like a mute button had taken the noise away from me. I’m thinking it was God’s way of telling me to be patient. I got to see you, but I just couldn’t hear you.

I dreamed of you last night.

I hope my next dream of you is loud. I want to hear you laugh. Those beautiful blue eyes that struck mine. I couldn’t stop staring at you. Your arms reached for me and my heart hasn’t been that full since the day I found out about you.

I dreamed of you last night.

That was the first time I felt like I had seen you since your birthday. You are absolutely perfect. River, you are the biggest blessing. I hope you continue to show me unconditional love and guide me towards this life worth living. My arms ache for you. But, I hope one day you fill them up when we meet again.

I dreamed of you last night.

And I hope you come back to my dreams again.

For the first time in my life, my dreams are better than my reality.
